Recording of FEFAC's "livestream" XXIX Congress available

The recording of the FEFAC XXIX Congress on 25 September 2020 are now accessible on FEFAC and BFA websites

The digitally livestreamed FEFAC XXIX Congress was formally opened by EU Commissioner Stella Kyriakides and Vice-Minister of Wallonia, Mr Willy Borsus via pre-recorded video messages.

Rose o’ Donovan, Agrafacts Editor-in-Chief, moderated the VIP speaker discussion between Michael Scannell (European Commission), Pekka Pesonen (Copa-Cogeca), Philippe Weiler (Lidl Belgium), Preben Sunke (Danish Crown) and Jean-François Timmers (WWF) on the EU Green Deal and market expectations to the European livestock & feed industry, focusing in particular on Climate change ambitions, the need for innovation to increase the EU farm sectors’ toolbox and competitiveness, as well as on deforestation-free soy supplies. FEFAC President Asbjørn Børsting and BFA Managing Director Katrien D’hooghe presented the key ambitions of the FEFAC Feed Sustainability Charter 2030, and the BFA Sustainability Charter, including the European Feed industry actions and commitments to match the specific EU Green Deal Objectives affecting the livestock and aquaculture sectors.
